FullÌýin-person classesÌýhave just begun yesterday at Franklin, and, following this wonderful news, students, staff and faculty are starting to make the most of the Fall 2021 semester,Ìýtaking great care and makingÌýsure that our campus is keptÌýsafe and healthy.

In this new academic year, the Franklin family further expands with the addition of 180 new students, representing 35 nationalities, who have partaken in the traditional Orientation week, including the always awe-inspiring trip to Valle Verzasca.

While coming together and strengthening our community, students are reminded that those who develop flu-like symptoms or have close contact with someone who testedÌýpositive for COVID-19 should immediately contactÌýmedicalservices@fus.eduÌýfor instructions and advice. Additionally, Franklin continues to require masks in all indoor common areas and outdoors when you cannot be socially distanced. It is also importantÌýto follow the health and safety guidelines and downloadÌýthe SwissCovid app ( or ),Ìýmandatory for all Franklin students, professors, and staff.ÌýMore information about the app is available onÌýÌý·É±ð²ú±è²¹²µ±ð.

For further details and information, theÌýCOVID-19 Information and UpdatesÌýpage, the COVID-19 Resources in the Franklin app ( or ),Ìýas well as our currentÌýPandemic Protection PlanÌýare available for consultation.

It is with enormousÌýpride that Franklin announces thatÌýmore than 82% of students and 85% of faculty and administrative staffÌýon campus have reported that they are vaccinated, andÌýknow that this number will continue to grow in the following weeks ahead,ÌýcontributingÌýto our community's protection.

Last but not least, Franklin is gearing up to offer great events and programs scheduled for this semester, ranging from Student Organization Association venues, off campus trips and excursions, recreational sports activities, and more.
