At 天美影院 (FUS), you鈥檒l have a unique set of academic opportunities, starting with our signature program,听Academic Travel. 听Academic Travel blends classroom preparation with the opportunity to study with your professor in a different country for two weeks every semester. That isn鈥檛 the only thing that sets us apart. Our professors use real-world experiences to teach the practical skills you鈥檒l need in your career. 听Franklin hosts industry experts to interactively discuss current and emerging trends. This and our Career office are poised to better prepare our students after graduation.

We offer multicultural events, clubs, and activities to help grow your international competence and confidence. As a liberal arts university, Franklin offers more courses in an exciting array of subjects than other international universities. Our core curriculum has a much stronger focus on language and interdisciplinary study. You will have more options in terms of听Majors and Minors and you can even customize your own academic plan. FUS has both U.S. and Swiss accreditations, so if you鈥檙e only with us for a short time, your credits have a high likelihood of transfer.

We believe that exposure to many different cultures and academic disciplines gives our graduates a significant edge as they forge career paths. You鈥檒l learn how to negotiate challenges by problem-solving and cooperating with others. More importantly, we believe that a Franklin education builds confidence, independence, and the ability to adapt to new situations and environments. Within one year of graduation, 95% of our alumni obtain full-time employment, and 75% achieve employment within six months.

Switzerland is the perfect place听to enjoy a rich cross-cultural experience. It is a stunning country that speaks multiple languages and has successfully bridged the gaps within its population. It is safe, clean, organized, and on time. While it is not an inexpensive place to live, it is a stable and safe environment (about which) parents feel comfortable.
Franklin housing听provides you with privacy and autonomy. You will quickly learn how to manage on a budget and, while university meal plans are offered, many students enjoy learning to cook for themselves in their own kitchens. Before long, you鈥檒l speak enough Italian to shop, buy tickets, and ask for directions around Lugano. By the time you graduate, you鈥檒l feel comfortable in any international setting. It鈥檚 no surprise that many of our alumni work in positions that are globally oriented.
