Celebrating Another Year of Service
We are proud to celebrate another successful year of service!
During the 2019-2020 school year, 80 City Year Orlando AmeriCorps membersÌýfulfilled a year–long commitment toÌýserve as near–peer tutors and mentors to ÌìÃÀÓ°Ôº in eight O°ù±ô²¹²Ô»å´ÇÌýschools. Although the year did not end as planned, City Year Orlando AmeriCorps, in partnership withÌýOCPSÌýand school administration, shifted to a virtual training and service model to provide social, emotional and academic support to ÌìÃÀÓ°Ôº while schools were closed. City Year Orlando served more than 350 ÌìÃÀÓ°Ôº through virtual programming, social media engagement and virtual office hours, that provided ÌìÃÀÓ°Ôº with the opportunity to talk to a trusted mentor.
