Kicking off a Year of Service
City Year Orlando kicked off theÌý2020-2021 s³¦³ó´Ç´Ç±ôÌýyearÌýand celebrated the new class of AmeriCorps members through aÌýweek-long social media campaignÌý³¦²¹±ô±ô±ð»å,Ìý“Opening Week.â€ÌýThis unique online celebration brought together teamÌýsponsors, board members, champions as well as family and friendsÌýof AmeriCorps members to celebrate the start of service.ÌýÌý
Opening Week, sponsored by Comcast NBCUniversal,Ìýwas heldÌýMonday, August 31, 2020ÌýthroughÌýFriday, September 4, 2020.ÌýEach day,ÌýCity Year OrlandoÌýfeatured photos and videos of service toÌýcelebrate the 80 AmeriCorps members committing a year of service to supportingÌýthousands of ÌìÃÀÓ°Ôº in eight OCPS partner schools.ÌýCity Year Orlando staff visitedÌýeach team for a socially distant in-person celebration toÌýdeliver party packs and treatsÌýto appreciate theÌýincredibleÌýyoung leaders andÌýtheir commitment to support ÌìÃÀÓ°Ôº all-day, every day, all-year.Ìý
