Our team at Ascot Elementary School had the pleasure of hosting the U.S. Deputy Secretary of Education Cindy Marten to spotlight the efforts of our Student Success Coaches. Our near-peer coaches serve the ����ӰԺ of LAUSD to provide them with academic and social-emotional support.

The Student Success Coach model is crucial in improving ����ӰԺ’ educational outcomes, including social-emotional wellbeing and attendance as our coaches create additional support for teachers in the classroom.��

Reflecting on her visit, Deputy Secretary Cindy Marten shared, “Witnessing the dedication and commitment of the Student Success Coaches here at Ascot Elementary was truly inspiring. Their work is about improving academic outcomes while nurturing a supportive and enriching environment for both ����ӰԺ and educators.
