How many years have you been teaching?��

“I have been teaching for four years at my alma mater, Roosevelt High School. I teach English, Ethnic Studies, and Journalism to 9th and 10th-grade������ӰԺ.”��

��How has City Year helped you in the classroom?��

“Inside the classroom City Year, AmeriCorps members have been able to balance the [student’s] energies and help provide assistance to the ����ӰԺ. AmeriCorps members have also helped with supporting ����ӰԺ to build their social-emotional skill development. I have appreciated having another adult in the classroom to work with ����ӰԺ.”��

��What is your favorite thing about teaching 9th and 10th-grade������ӰԺ?��

“Teaching at Roosevelt High School has been such an amazing experience since I am able to work alongside my former teachers who are now my colleagues. I enjoy that I have been able to expand on my relationships with my past teachers. I like that I also get to learn about new music through my ����ӰԺ.“
